KiLL DESiRE
BEFORE iT KiLLS YOU!!
Killing desire. But is that different from killing dreams? What's the
difference between dreams and desires? Well what I meant was killing unnecessary
desires. The desires that make you not enjoy what you already have,
that always leave you wanting more, that make you take what you do have
for granted, and that make you sulk mope and throw pity parties.
Desires make you stand still and not move forward. Dreams, on the
other hand, make you move. There's no standing still. It is the goal
set in front of you motivating you to keep moving forward until you
reach it. Dreams are still a form of desire, except with dreams you
have hope and faith of acquiring that which you desire. With dreams,
you can see the steps you need to take to eventually get to your
destination. Having dreams is like seeing the bigger picture. It's like
being in a car going to wherever it is you really want to go. As long
as you know you'll be relaxing on the beach having fun with friends
sipping pina colatas, you'll stifle your desire for air conditioning in
the car or your desire for more leg room because you know your
destination will be worth it.
"To end suffering is to end desire" -Buddha
"And happiness . . . what is it after all? Desires are a torment,
aren't they? And it's clear that happiness is when there are no longer
any desires, not even one . . ." -pg 177, We

I feel myself.
But it’s only the eye with a lash in it, the swollen finger, the infected tooth
that feels itself, is conscious of its own individual being. The healthy eye or
finger or tooth doesn’t seem to exist. So it’s clear, isn’t it?
Self-consciousness is just a disease. –We

I think the person you can ever miss
most is yourself. You’re stuck in new routines, new surroundings, new people
and you don’t know how to act around all this newness. So you refrain from doing
anything, and more importantly you refrain from being yourself. For a while you
don’t realize you haven’t been yourself for quite some time. Dystrophy occurs
void of physical activity, similarly, your spirit decays void of being
yourself. And like a swimmer under water all this time, you eventually gasp
desperately for a breath of that which sustains you. Oxygen, is it? Or is it
the moments when you are able to express and be exactly who you are. -written Feb 27 -
Oh no, what's this?
A spider web, and I'm caught in the
middle,I turned to run,
The thought of all the stupid things
I've done
