Funerals shouldn’t be the only time to tell people how valued they are.
We should live every day as if it were our last, right? So
we should always tell people how much they mean to us, before it’s too
late. Except, this attempt of making the most of life can
backfire: this honesty can surface too much consciousness and cause the
subject to act unnaturally. Ironic how what’s supposed to
encourage them to stay the same, changes them.
