  • The mario bro analogy

Relationships is like playing mario bros. The pursuer must pass levels before he can reach the princess. To continue on a level without dying, the pursuer must continue a conversation without letting it die. If the pursuer is vastly stimulating and interesting, the pursuer could shortcut through a sewer pipe. The levels after the first represent the levels within the pursuer himself which he can share and be shared to. These levels will definitely expose the pursuer to more vulnerable and challenging situations, but well worth the satisfaction of being that much closer to victory. Although through much ambition, many many hours invested, perhaps multiple lives and resets as well- once victory is attained, pursuers almost immediately lose interest and move on to the next game.

And just like that, people can degrade themselves from being notoriously unbeatable to a cheap, discarded piece of nothing.
