God is more than just good. hes grace, mercy, love, stregnth, joy, and hope.
how do u believe in good?
yup.
nope.
So therefore…. if I am good, I am God?
no
I would say ‘no’. If I grant you that ‘God is Good’, Good does not have to mean the entirety of all that is God – but then what can we really say is GooD?
lol frank the fish’s question
that statement just begs for atheistic arguement
interesting way to pose it. but flawed, as frank the fish pointed out.
ryc: no, i don’t know tagorda. but i don’t think both of you know the same ppl… so he might have clicked-through from my site?
what if you’re a bad guy that believes in a good god… wow that’d be a trippy situation..
1. God is Good, it’s innate to His nature. 2. No human can be good if they are sinful. We can be grey areas of good, but none of us completely good. I think the “good” mention here is that of the absolute. 3. If you’re a bad guy who believes in a good God, well then, look to #2. How bad are you? And even then, bad is still relative. If you are truly, completely, and wholly “bad”, then why would you trust in a good God?
It’s really hard to define what is absolute when we live in a relative world. Semantics and language are imperfect. We can try, but our understanding will NEVER come close. Us trying to define God is like us asking for the impossible. We can place God under several true archetypes, but then there is a sense of faith and belief that must come along with agreeing to those archetypes because they cannot be fully explained/understood.
Good always points to God, but people always don’t look for God in the good.
