Wanting nothing. Discipline can control the former. Accepting the latter is a copout that says, "Disciplining my desires is too hard, so I'm just gonna kill 'em off and cauterize my soul."

both. because for a) if you want everything it'd lead to being broke, always being unhappy, in other words never being satisfied, it could also lead to being materialistic and superficial.. b) wanting nothing would probably lead to a person that lacks ambition and never goes that extra mile.. but in the end.. finding that middle ground is what i think is best..
I think there's a false concept that says we can't be content even though we have wants. Contentment is the key. If you can stay content, you're free to want everything. You can want nothing and still be discontent.
